Terms Of Service
Effective date: May 6, 2026
Last updated: May 6, 2026
These terms describe the product boundary Ausculto is designed to preserve, the responsibilities that remain with the clinic using the service, and the conditions under which the product should be used.
Who May Use Ausculto
Ausculto is intended for veterinarians, clinic staff, and veterinary practices using the product for documentation support within a clinical workflow.
By using Ausculto, the clinic and its users agree to use the service only in a lawful manner and only within the clinic's own professional, privacy, and recordkeeping obligations.
Documentation Support Only
Ausculto provides draft documentation support. It does not replace professional judgment, clinical decision-making, or veterinarian review.
A licensed veterinarian remains responsible for reviewing, correcting, approving, and transferring final content into the clinic's system of record.
Not A System Of Record
Ausculto is not an accredited veterinary EMR, not a permanent system of record, and not a substitute for the clinic's required audit trails, retention schedule, or professional compliance processes.
The clinic remains responsible for maintaining its official records in its chosen system of record.
Local Clinical Drafting Boundary
Clinical transcription and draft generation are designed to run locally on supported web browsers or in the native iPhone app.
If a device does not support the required local workflow, Ausculto does not provide a cloud clinical-audio fallback for transcription or draft generation.
Synced Workspace Data
Generated drafts and related workspace data may sync through the configured account and workspace services so that users can review across supported devices.
Raw clinical audio and on-device setup files are outside the shared workspace sync contract.
The clinic remains responsible for deciding what content should be retained, exported, deleted, or moved into its system of record.
Consent, Review, And Export
The clinic is responsible for its own consent practices and for determining when recording may lawfully and professionally occur.
Ausculto is designed to support a workflow in which drafts are reviewed and approved by a veterinarian before copy or export in the normal product flow.
Accounts, Billing, And Acceptable Use
Ausculto may process account information, license state, seat assignments, subscription status, payment identifiers, and other operational data necessary to provide the service.
Users must not place clinical content in billing metadata, support tickets, authentication profile fields, or other non-clinical administrative fields.
Clinic Responsibilities
Before using Ausculto in practice, the clinic should establish policies for device support, consent wording, synced draft retention, record export workflow, staff access, offboarding, and incident response.
The clinic remains responsible for privacy compliance, patient/client communications, record access requests, and any professional or regulatory obligations that apply to its practice.
Availability And Changes
Ausculto may update, improve, suspend, or modify features, workflows, and service components from time to time.
The clinic should evaluate product changes before relying on them in a production clinical workflow.
No Legal Or Regulatory Advice
Ausculto does not provide legal advice, regulatory advice, or professional compliance advice.
Clinics should obtain their own legal and professional guidance on privacy, consent, retention, and recordkeeping obligations.
These terms should be read together with the Ausculto privacy notice and the clinic's own legal, privacy, and recordkeeping obligations.
